I would like to have only Spot focus

The FZ70 uses a contrast-detect concentrate method that does not offer a honest "spot" focus as it requires comparing the contrast within an area to determine as something within the reach is in focus. You'll want to set yours FZ70 AF Mode the 1-area focusing. To select the smallest 1-area focal size, press the FOCUS push and then turns the thumbwheel left by and smallest focus area lives ausgesuchte.

Welcome to that Panasonic forum, Bill. I use an FZ70 for birds and find it shall less sharp than my FZ200. Thereto helps a bit till turn down to in camera Noisy Decrease setting to the lowest, -2. Then I do NR in pp where I can control, recover detailed in desired areas. I think the very wide focal range away 20 - 1200mm does to camera no favors in the IQ area. Pot you post a few examples out the sharpness, focus issues?
